Newcastle's Forster on verge of permanent Celtic move

Fraser Forster's mooted permanent move to Celtic is set to go ahead according to his agent.

The 24-year old Newcastle United goalkeeper, who has been linked with QPR and West Ham United, has spent the past two seasons on loan with the Glasgow giants and is keen to make Parkhead his home after enjoying success with the Hoops.

"I will call (Celtic chief) Peter Lawwell on Thursday and arrange a time to meet and try to finish things off - we need to," his representative Mark Curtis told SunSport.

"Fraser's been away but I spoke to him and know where we need to be. I will now arrange to meet Peter.

"Other clubs are not in his mind," Curtis added. "Does he want to stay at Celtic? Yes."
