Newcastle's Dundee Utd loanee Good relishing Socceroos chances

Curtis Good will be looking to put his best foot forward when Australia takes on Ecuador this week.

The 20-year old Dundee United defender, on loan from Newcastle United, is a chance to make his international debut at senior level when the Socceroos tackle the Ecuadorians in London on Wednesday night UK time (Thursday morning AEDT).

Good, who has captained both the Australian U20 and U23 sides, could grace the pitch at Millwall's The Den and admits it is a great thrill even to think about making his Socceroos debut in a World Cup year.

"I'm very happy and excited to be selected," Good told au.fourfourtwo.com.

"It's a huge opportunity for some of us younger lads to show we can play at this level and put our names in the mix for Brazil. I'm really looking forward to it.

"[I've] definitely dreamed about it since I was a kid. I didn't think I would get a call up this soon but I'm extremely happy."

Good has made four Scottish Premiership appearances for the Tangerines since his temporary move from England's north east, starting in three wins and one draw for the Tannadice club.
