Newcastle United defender Mathieu Debuchy has been ruled out of France's World Cup qualifiers with Georgia and Spain starting Friday.
The right-back sustained a thigh injury during the 2-1 defeat to Wigan Athletic on Sunday and will not be available according to Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps.
"Debuchy has a lesion on the thigh, he is out," Deschamps told the press.
France currently sits second on Group I qualifying with seven points from three matches, equal with leaders Spain, and three clear of third-placed Georgia.
