Newcastle United full-back Mathieu Debuchy believes that playing regular Premier League football has helped him to improve as a player. The 28-year-old made the switch to St James' Park from Lille in January 2013 and has featured 28 times in all competitions so far this season.

"You become better by playing and training with big players, and playing in the best league of course you will progress," he told the Evening Chronicle.
