Newcastle's Cabaye plays down transfer interest

Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye says he is not reading too much into transfer rumours involving his name.

The Frenchman has recently been linked with Manchester United but he has made it clear that he is keen to remain with the Magpies as they prepare for life in the Europa League next season.

"There are rumours. I am following it a little," he told France Football. "But I have four years remaining on my contract with Newcastle.

"Today I don't want to know anything. That is what agents are for."

He added: "At Newcastle we will play in the Europa League.

"The atmosphere is already huge at St James Park with us in the Premier League and it seems stronger now we're in Europe."
