Newcastle United defender Sebastien Bassong is keen for a move to Tottenham as his future at St James' Park is almost certainly over.
The French-born Cameroonian refused to travel with the Magpies for Sunday's friendly at Dundee United, indicating he wants to leave the relegated club and has chosen Spurs as his ideal landing spot.
Bassong's agent, Chris Hentoray, is believed to have organised talks with Aston Villa and Everton this week to keep his clients options open.
The 23-year old would prefer to end up at Whtie Hart Lane rather than join the star-studded cast at Manchester City with which his name has also been linked.
