Newcastle United have loaned Mehdi Abeid to Greek club Panathinaikos.
The 20-year old French-Algerian midfielder spent time on loan with Scottish side St Johnstone last term and will now further his development in the Greek Super League with Pana on a season-long deal.
"Panathinaikos FC announces that it has entered into an agreement with Newcastle United for the one-year loan of Algerian international footballer Mehdi Abeid," read a statement on Pana's official website.
