Newcastle United have rubbished reports of a deal with Galatasaray for Demba Ba.

The Evening Chronicle says the Senegalese forward has a £7m release clause in his contract at Newcastle, and rumours on the social networking site Twitter emerged that Sky Italia had announced this clause had been met.

United fans took to the internet to express their shock and displeasure at the news, with more and more reports of the people seeing the story.

Newcastle United have rubbished these claims, but it did not stop "Demba Ba" and "Sky Italia" both trending separately on Twitter.
