Newcastle United are competing with Tottenham for Olympique Marseille winger Florian Thauvin.

The Mail on Sunday says the French club want £15million for Thauvin.

The 22-year-old has been left out of Marseille's squad for this weekend's game against Metz amid claims he wants to join Tottenham.

Marseille and the White Hart Lane club have held talks over the France international in recent weeks and Thauvin is keen to join them but Tottenham are looking for a cheaper deal.
