Newcastle United have joined the interest for Lens striker Aruna Dindane.

Dindane has been cleared to play for Portsmouth for the rest of the season after the striker travelled to France to resolve his future with Lens.

The Daily Star says the striker, who has scored seven goals in 21 games for Pompey, is a summer target for Blackburn, newly promoted Newcastle and Greek club Panathinaikos.
