Newcastle United are still in Bosman talks with Reims midfielder Romain Amalfitano.

Amalfitano is off contract in June and a summer target for Newcastle boss Alan Pardew.

The Evening Chronicle says the Magpies are yet to confirm the signing of Amalfitano from Reims - younger brother of Marseille's Morgan Amalfitano, who recently made his debut for the French national side against Germany in the 2-1 win last month.
