Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew wants to keep hold of James Tavernier.
The fullback joined Sheffield Wednesday on-loan last month and manager Gary Megson has been impressed by the youngster.
But the Daily Mail says Pardew has also blocked a loan move to Wednesday for Tavernier.
