Newcastle United are set to make their move for Aston Villa striker Darren Bent.
The former Tottenham and Sunderland ace appears to have limited days at Villa Park and could be shipped out for around £6million this summer.
Toon boss Alan Pardew and director of football Joe Kinnear are believed to be both keen on Bent and will hold talks regarding the possibility of bringing him to St James' Park.
Villa have signed Danish striker Nicklas Helenius from Aalborg prompting manager Paul Lambert to prepare for the sale of Bent.
