Newcastle United remain keen on Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
The Evening Chronicle says Newcastle are weighing up making a bid for Lacazette.
But when pressed on the striker quitting Ligue 1 for the Premier League, Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas said over the weekend: "Offers for Alex? I don't know.
"I met with him to discuss a possible extension of his contract which would see his salary increased.
"At this stage, it's not expected that he will leave the club."
