Newcastle United could revive their bid for QPR striker Loic Remy this week.
Remy has seen a move to Liverpool collapse over a failed medical.
The Journal says unless the injury is serious, and it's clear Remy does have a problem, Alan Pardew may well see re-signing the Frenchman as the perfect end to what has been a more than satisfactory transfer window.
Common consent among Newcastle supporters is one more striker, specifically a natural goalscorer, is still required even after six signings, four of which are attack-minded players.
Remy, who scored 14 goals on loan last season, would be a superb addition if whatever problem which scuppered his move to Liverpool can be effectively dealt with.
