Newcastle planning Wigan raid for Bramble, Watson

Newcastle United are planning a double raid on Wigan Athletic.
The Sun says Toon boss Chris Hughton has put recruitment plans in place for next season, with the return of Titus Bramble high on his list.
Newcastle are favourites to get back into the top flight and boss Hughton is also keen on Bramble's Wigan team-mate Ben Watson.
Midfielder Watson, a dead ringer for Prince Harry, joined Wigan from Crystal Palace for £2million in January last year but has made just six league starts for them.
Bramble was shipped out of Newcastle by Sam Allardyce in 2007 with the Latics snapping up the powerful centre-half on a free.
But Hughton values the 28-year-old's experience and would welcome him back.

I agree. If Bramble is the sort of player that CH is going for IF we get promoted, then we will land straight back in the Championship again. He is as good for us as Ameobi was in the Premiership! I do hope the Sun is spouting rubbish like they usually do.
can u shut up unless u have got anything gd to say about newcastle, you can hardly call us a shambles of a club we had 1 bad season get to the point!
ToonArmySoldier - you're typical of the kind of Newcastle fan that got on Bramble's back
rather than supporting him. Since he came to Wigan, he's been magnificent - winning all
the players', fans' and media awards last year - it just shows that when you get on a
player's back it works against your team, but if you back them when things get tough,
they'll come through for you. I don't think Titus would even think of leaving us for you.
In Hughton you've got a decent manager who has the nous to get you promoted - if your
board were stupid enough to sack him you'd probably go straight back down.
