Newcastle United are ready to move for Tottenham defender Michael Dawson.
The Mirror says Tottenham defender Dawson has lost his place in the team following the arrival of Jonathan Woodgate who is forming a strong partnership with Ledley King.
Dawson has slipped down the pecking order and that will lead to Newcastle testing Tottenham's resolve with an £8m bid this summer.
