Newcastle United are chasing Manchester City midfielder Abdi Ibrahim.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini has informed Ibrahim he can leave City in January.
The Daily Express says Ibrahim has drawn interest from Newcastle and a host of European teams.
The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Stromsgodset.
