Newcastle United duo Yohan Cabaye and Hatem Ben Arfa have both been named in Laurent Blanc's preliminary France squad for this summer's European Championships.
The Magpies pair have been named in a 12-man list of French players based away from France to go into a training squad for the Poland and Ukraine tournament.
Joining Cabaye and Ben Arfa are Manchester City pair Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri, Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny, Manchester United's Patrice Evra, Chelsea's Florent Malouda and Tottenham's Younes Kaboul.
Apart from the eight English-based players, Blanc has also included Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery, AC Milan's Philippe Mexes, Valencia's Adil Rami and Real Madrid's Karim Benzema.
Regarding Ben Arfa, Blanc said: "We have monitored him and can count on him for the knockout stages of the Euro."
Blanc's final 23-man squad for the championship must be submitted to UEFA by May 29.
