Newcastle United have opened talks with Montpellier for midfielder Remy Cabella.

The Daily Mail says Montpellier president Louis Nicollin declared they would sell for £14million in November but privately they are open to negotiations as they look to bring in much-needed revenue.

The 23-year-old has also been linked with Manchester United.
