Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce has been offered two of England's brightest young centre-halves.
The Independent says Newcastle have been offered West Ham's Anton Ferdinand and the West Bromwich Albion captain Curtis Davies, who were both targets for Allardyce's predecessor, Glenn Roeder.
However, Allardyce is seeking a more experienced centre-half signing.
