Newcastle United are handing new terms to midfielder Michael Richardson.

The Evening Chronicle says Richardson, who has also played on loan at Leyton Orient this season, won a deal last year after signing from non-league outfit Walker Central.

Ex-electrician Richardson has been recovering from an ankle injury but has impressed Alan Pardew since he arrived at the club, and the 19-year-old is hoping to be back this season.
