Newcastle United have offered captain Fabricio Coloccini a long-term deal in a bid to keep him at the club for the remainder of his playing days.
The Magpies chiefs want to keep the 29-year old at the heart of the St James' Park defence for the next five years and will reportedly offer him more than the £55,000 he already earns per week.
The offer is believed to be a four-year deal with an option for a fifth on a slightly reduced wage plan as the Geordie outfit attempt to ward off interest from some clubs in Spain who are showing some curiosity toward the Argentine.
