Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is still considering a move for West Ham United defender James Tomkins.
The Evening Chronicle says Pardew has a lot of time for West Ham defender Tomkins but the Hammers want £6million for his signature.
However, Tomkins' future is unclear at West Ham and given that they have had Titus Bramble on trial, Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is looking into other options.
