Newcastle United must cough up big to land FC Twente striker Luuk de Jong.
The Sun says Toon boss Alan Pardew has been told he can have striker De Jong - for £16million.
The Newcastle boss had already failed with a £10m bid for the FC Twente ace.
Joop Munsterman, chairman of the Dutch club, insisted: "For £12m, De Jong will not leave. But £16m would be an incredible amount."
