Newcastle United are not planning to make a move for Derby County defender Richard Keogh.

Keogh had been linked with a reunion with his former Rams manager Steve McClaren at St James' Park, with the 54-year old keen on strengthening his backline.

However, the Chronicle have now gone on to reveal that Newcastle are not planning a move for Keogh as the Magpies hierarchy have not changed their stance on bringing in players entering their peak years on the professional circuit.
