Newcastle United have cooled talk of moving for Djibril Cisse.
The Journal says United have moved to dismiss erroneous reports in France linking the club with a move for ex-Sunderland striker Cissé, currently looking for an exit from Greek side Panathinaikos. The former Liverpool striker is desperate to quit Athens and has been linked with a return to England.
Cisse would jump at the chance of another Premier League move.
