Newcastle United No2 John Carver has welcomed back fit-again Hatem Ben Arfa.

The French star is back from a hamstring injury and is hoping to play a part in Sundays Premier League home encounter with Stoke City.

Carver told the Evening Chronicle: "Can you imagine him being in a team with Cisse, Gouffran, Sissoko and Cabaye?

"It would put the fear of God into many teams.

"I think we have exciting times ahead.

"Ben Arfa is classed as a special player but must work hard to get a place in the starting line-up."
