Newcastle No2 Carver open to MLS return

Newcastle United No2 John Carver won't rule out returning to MLS.

Carver is a former head coach of Toronto FC.

"I would like to go back one day," he told the Daily Mail. "I probably wanted to do things too quickly when I was there and I got frustrated.

"But I really respect what they're doing and more and more now we're seeing players going there in their prime.

"So one day I would like to see myself back in the MLS because I think it has a fantastic future and will only get bigger and better - David Beckham taking the franchise option in Miami is huge for the league and very exciting.

"The league is getting better year on year and how they have developed it is very clever. They have taken their time and the structure they have is fantastic.

"I still watch the matches now and the standard is definitely improving and with players such as Jermain going over it's only going to get better."
