Newcastle News: Mitrovic losing patience; Shearer offers fans perspective

Aleksandar Mitrovic admits he's losing patience over his situation at Newcastle United.

The Serb was again a second-half substitute in defeat at Manchester United.

“I'm patient, but we will see," said Mitrovic.

“My patience is almost to the end, so we will see. I want to play. I want to be on the pitch. I'm patient, but we will see.

“I see where I am already. I've said already that I'm patient, but we will see. I don't know what to say. I'm here, and we'll see what's happening.

“I want to be here. I want to play. I like this club. I train good, I try to use every minute.

“We will see. I'll try to do my best in the next few weeks."

Meanwhile, Magpies legend Alan Shearer has urged fans to be realistic after defeat at Old Trafford.

He told BBC Sport: “It's been a disappointing time with the last three results for Newcastle fans.

“But they're sat just below mid-table; 14 points after 12 games.

“I think the manager, the fans and even the players would have accepted that before the season started."
