Newcastle must consider new Aarons contract

Newcastle United face the prospect of having to offer new terms to Rolando Aarons.

The Evening Chronicle says the 18-year-old was man of the match on his debut for England's under-20s, scoring the first goal and setting up two in a 6-0 win over Romania at the New Bucks Head Stadium in Telford.

This performance followed up his brilliant substitute appearance against Crystal Palace last Saturday, which immediately prompted the inevitable links with other clubs with Liverpool and Manchester City both credited with an interest in the winger.

Aarons is now one of the most highly-rated teenagers in the country and Newcastle should move quickly to secure him on a long-term contract.
