Newcastle United are eyeing Wolfsburg midfielder Karim Ziani.
Ziani has come off contract this month and is eyeing a move to the Premier League.
Newcastle United chief scout Graham Carr made several checks on Ziani during last season.
The 28 year-old Algeria international midfielder spent part of last season on-loan at Kayserispor in Turkey.
