NEC Nijmegen defender Jonas Olsson is a target for Newcastle United.
Olsson said: "I've never hidden my desire to play in England. If I leave in January, NEC can get a lot of money for me.
"I know my agent Martin Dahlin has been working on my behalf."
Newcastle have conceded 21 league goals this season.
