Newcastle United are keeping tabs on PSV Eindhoven striker Ola Toivonen.

The Sunday Express says the Sweden midfielder, a free agent next summer, will be available for a cut-price £2.5million in January if he fails to agree a new deal.

Toivonen, 27, shares the same agent - Mino Raiola - as Newcastle's Dutch midfielder Vurnon Anita.

Norwich, Fulham and Fiorentina are also interested in Toivonen, who turned down a move to Carrow Road in the summer.
