Cheick Tiote could be given the chance to remain in the Premier League despite Newcastle United's relegation.
A report in the Daily Mail suggests that the 29-year-old midfielder is wanted by no less than three top flight clubs.
It is understood that West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace are both keen to add the combative midfielder to their stocks while newly-promoted Middlesbrough are also showing interest.
Tiptoe was set to leave St James' Park for China in January but ultimately remained in the north east in a bid to help the Magpies avoid the drop.
Now they are down in the Championship though, it is believed that the Magpies are prepared to sell the Ivory Coast international, who comes out of contract next summer, for around £4million.
Newcastle are likely to lose at least five first-team players this summer including Tiote, Georgina Wijnaldum, Moussa Sissoko, Andros Townsend and Papiss Cisse.
