Newcastle United midfielder Mehdi Abeid says his spell on-loan with Panathinaikos was the making of him last season.
Abeid has broken into the Toon first team in the past week.
"I felt I grew a lot in Greece," he said. "I played 40 games and got a lot of experience. I grew up as a player and as a man - I want to keep going in that way.
"I feel I'm a better player. I wanted to play football and that's what I got. Now it's about the next level and taking my chance.
"The Premier League is the biggest in the world and to be part of it is great. It's nice to be back and involved. I had a great season (at Panathinaikos) but now I need to build on that and show it here."
