Newcastle United midfielder Jonjo Shelvey insists there's no resentment over England's World Cup success.
England are now guaranteed to finish at least fourth in the tournament in what will be their best performance since 1990 under Sir Bobby Robson.
Speaking about being left out this summer, Shelvey said: “Don't get me wrong I would have loved to have gone.
“But there is no point in dwelling on it now. It's happened and they're doing fantastic over there.
“Congratulations to them. But at the end of the day my career is about myself and I've got to make sure I put the performances in for Newcastle.
“I want to pick up where I left off last year.
“If I can do that I'll be happy."
