Newcastle United midfielder Mo Diame says they must make the most of their win over Manchester United.
Matt Ritchie's second-half strike was enough to seal a dramatic 1-0 win over the Red Devils on Sunday, lifting the Magpies up to 13th in the Premier League table.
Diame said, “It was the most important (win) because we knew the result of Huddersfield, so the pressure was on us before the game.
“It was a massive three points, to be honest, because we have two weeks without another game.
“Even without this (Huddersfield) result we knew we had to do everything to win, but being in the bottom three before the game was a bad feeling so this is what we had to do."
New goalkeeper Martin Dubravka shined on debut, making a number of key saves to prevent Manchester United from scoring.
And Diame was full of praise for the Slovakian international.
“(He has been) very good. He was brilliant.
“He showed why Newcastle wanted to bring him here."
