Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye would welcome talks with AS Monaco.

The Magpies have denied French reports the 27-year-old midfielder, who is also keen on joining Manchester United, was set to have a medical at the mega-rich Ligue 1 side.

But the £23million-rated Frenchman fuelled the speculation by saying: "Monaco have the means to build a strong team. It might interest everyone."
