Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye will contest a violent conduct charge handed out by the Football Association.
The Frenchman was charged yesterday following an incident in Saturday's FA Cup fourth round loss at Brighton & Hove Albion in which he allegedly kicked out at Seagulls defender Adam El-Abd.
Cabaye was given until 6pm on Tuesday to contest the ban, which he has done, and is now available for tomorrow night's trip to Blackburn Rovers.
