Newcastle United are chasing want-away Hull City defender Kamil Zayatte.
The Sunday Mirror says the Guinea defender, 24, will be shunted out after upsetting boss Phil Brown and losing his first-team place to Steven Mouyokolo.
Brown is fuming with Zayatte for declaring he wants to play for a bigger club.
He also angered the manager by claiming the Premier League strugglers priced him out of moves to Tottenham and West Ham in the transfer window.
Now Brown will off-load Zayatte in a £2.5million switch to Tyneside.
Toon chief Chris Hughton missed out on Zayatte when the player joined Hull for £2.5million 13 months ago.
But Hughton will move for him again after missing out on Sheffield United's Matt Kilgallon, who joined Sunderland instead.
