St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a target for Newcastle United.
The Daily Star says the Magpies may be forced to play a waiting game in their pursuit of £10m-rated Marseille striker Loic Remy. The France international, 26, is their top attacking target following Demba Ba's move to Chelsea.
But Marseille are taking a tough stance over Remy and Newcastle see St Etienne's Gabon star Aubameyang, 23, as a possible back-up option
