Newcastle United are interested in Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has employed an English agent to find a Premier League buyer for Gomis, with Swansea City and Arsenal having been approached.

The Daily Express says Newcastle have also made enquiries for Gomis.

Toon interest in the French international may have been sparked by the ongoing row with Papiss Cisse over shirt sponsor Wonga, which could see him leave the club.
