Newcastle looking forward to 'do or die' contest

Newcastle Jets know they need a win in tomorrow night's Asian Champions League group clash with Beijing Guoan.

The Jets require three points to be any chance to progress to the next stage but despite knowing it's their last chance, are looking forward to the challenge according to youngster Tarek Elrich.

"The boys are looking sharp in training and looking forward to the game. We've players coming back after suspension and we know it's seen as a 'do or die' match," he said.

Reports have suggested that Beijing will rest some of their key players but even if that is the case, elrich is expecting a tough contest.

"Even if they do have a few young boys in there, we've some youngsters in our side and they seem to be doing okay," added Elrich.

"We're not reading anything into that (reports of a weakened side). We're just preparing for a tough game and we won't underestimate them at all."
