Boss Alan Pardew hopes Newcastle United can complete a deal to sign Shakhtar Donetsk striker Facundo Ferreyra on loan. The 23-year-old Argentine is one of six Shakhtar players who have opted not to return to Donetsk, a Ukrainian city currently held by pro-Russian rebels.
"It's something that is not done, but we're working to see if that can happen," Pardew told BBC Newcastle.
