Newcastle United legend Malcolm Macdonald says Papiss Cisse deserves his seven match ban for spitting.

Supermac was speaking before the suspension was handed down.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "I cannot think of anything more dirty, more offensive, more rage-provoking than spitting at an opponent.

"Therefore I'm afraid I can have no sympathy for Cisse and what is coming his way in terms of a lengthy ban."
