Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer is unhappy with the way diving is creeping into the Premier League.
Manchester United winger Ashley Young, in particularly, has been lambasted for his antics this season.
Shearer told the Daily Star: "Something does need to be done about it. For me it's happening too much and is such a grey area.
"Players are going down when there's been no contact whatsoever. It shouldn't be allowed and we need to stamp it out as it's ruining the game.
"The way to tackle it is for the manager to simply leave the player out. David Moyes did it earlier in the season with Ashley Young and it was good to see.
"It's only the managers that can act really as fining the player doesn't work."
