Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer says he doesn't miss being involved at the coal face of the game.
He admits he enjoys his pundit's role now.
When asked if he missed the day to day involvement, speaking of his days as a player, Shearer told the Evening Chronicle: "I miss the 90 minutes of football.
"I don't miss all the other stuff that goes with it.
"Stuff like people telling me where to be, what to eat, what to wear or what time to be there."
Shearer will resume his TV punditry ahead of another big weekend for the Magpies. And he is looking forward to the fixtures ahead.
He said: "I love my life now.
"I love what I am doing on the TV side of things. But other than the 90 minutes I don't miss it all."
