Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer is happy seeing Yohan Cabaye again impressing for the Toon.

Shearer was happy with Cabaye's performance in defeat at Everton.

He told The Journal: "Cabaye is a good player. I don't think there is any doubt about that. He showed that at Everton.

"He's a top midfielder and I would like to see him have an extended run in the team because he gives the midfield good balance. He's a talent, that's for sure."
