Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer is baffled by delays over naming a new England manager.
Shearer wrote in The Sun: "As we stand we are still nowhere nearer knowing who will be leading England into that tournament.
"Stuart Pearce is currently the boss, Harry Redknapp is expected to be the boss and Roy Hodgson could be the boss.
"In the meantime, speculation over who will be playing is rendered futile.
"I am not blaming anyone for this situation. I am just not sure how we have got here."
